| Sat, Sep 13th | Special Friendship Walk! Come and join us for a Friendship walk hosted by South Bay Striders. This type of event is special-it is for those of you who haven't tried us yet, to come and meet us and learn more about what we are about. Capitola is a charming seaside town that offers so much fun as we discover the town's "Hidden Paths and Stairs". 5K and 10K distance options available. Meet up at 9:45AM to register (free for new comers) and 10:00 walk starts. Directions: Coffeetopia, 3701 Portola Dr, Santa Cruz, CA 95062-5163. From HWY 101 or HWY 280, take HWY 17 south towards Santa Cruz. Take Hwy 1 towards Watsonville, then take the 41st Ave exit West to Portola Dr. Turn right, cross 38th Ave. Coffeetopia will be on your right. Estimate at least 45-50 minutes to drive from San Jose. | Wed, Sep 17th | Sunset Striding Come join us as we walk Almaden Lake Year Round trail together. NOTE : park in the VTA lot, and look for Suzi and John's white Jeep with the back open. This time we are starting at Almaden Lake Trail, and walking the 5K loop of the Almaden Lake walk. Register: 5:15PM to walk at 5:30PM Take Alamden Expwy south. Turn LEFT on Coleman and immediate LEFT again, into the apartment complex (1st traffic light). You will pass the patio and apartment offices on your right. | Wed, Sep 24th | Sunset Striding This afternoon we meet at Pfeiffer Park on Camden in the parking lot on the left. We will enjoy the 5K Los Alamitos Trail and neighborhood loop of our Almaden Lake Year round route. Sign in: 5:15PM, walk at 5:30PM Driving Directions to start point: Drive south on Almaden Expressway; turn Left on Camden Ave. In one block, there is a stop sign.
