| Wed, Jan 29th | Afternoon Ambling This afternoon we are back in Campbell, this time walking the Park and Town portion of our year round trail. Meet at the Pruneyard Pergola off Campbell Ave, just before the overpass. Meet up at 2:45pm to walk by 3:00PM Contact: Suzi Glass (408) 592-3935 Driving directions: From Hwy 17/880, take the Hamilton Ave. exit, go LEFT (east) to Bascom Ave. Turn RIGHT on Bascom to Campbell Ave., then turn RIGHT again. Enter the Pruneyard Shopping Center at the second driveway. Park in the lot to your LEFT, just before the overpass. |
| Wed, Feb 5th | Afternoon Ambling Come join us as we walk Almaden Lake Year Round trail together. NOTE : park in the VTA lot, and look for Suzi and John's white Jeep with the back open. This time we are starting at Almaden Lake Trail, and walking the 5K loop of the Almaden Lake walk. Register: 2:45PM to walk at 3:00PM Take Alamden Expwy south. Turn LEFT on Coleman and immediate LEFT again, into the apartment complex (1st traffic light). You will pass the patio and apartment offices on your right. | Wed, Feb 12th | FULL MOON wALK Come join us for a night time adventure walking together as the full moon rises. Remember to bring a flashlight. We will meet at Greystone Park- corner of Camden Ave and Mt. Carmel, and walk the Los Alamitos Trail. Meet up: 6:15PM to walk by 6:30PM contact: Suzi Glass 408-592-3935 Driving directions to start: Driving south on Almaden Expressway: turn Left on Camden Avenue. In one block, there is a stop sign then a pedestrian crossing.Then turn Right on Mt. Carmel and the park is in the next block. Park on the street. |
| Sat, Feb 15th | Holly's Hot Chocolate Walk Come join us to walk in San Jose's oldest-and beautiful-park. Alum Rock Park was established in 1872 and continues to be an true gem! The walk has gentle climb into the hills above San Jose, on paved and packed dirt trails. All are passable, even in the rain. We have a 5K and 10K route that takes you along the creek trail. After your walk, enjoy baked goodies and hot chocolate! (or hot tea, coffee..) START TIME: 8:30 AM-12 Noon. FINISH closes at 3:30 Driving directions: From either south or north on 280, take the Alum Rock Ave. exit and turn towards the foothills (east). Cross White Road and continue approximately 2 miles towards the hills. Pass the Mt. Hamilton Road sign, and go 300 yds further. We are on the right at the next intersection (Miguleta Rd). | Wed, Feb 26th | Afternoon Ambling Let's enjoy walking a 5K route on the beautiful Santa Clara University Campus together this afternoon. Sign in: 2:45PM, walk by 3:00PM Directions to start at the intersection of Chapman Ave and the Alameda: From I-880 north or southbound, take The Alameda Ave exit NORTH. Go 1/3 mile to the the second or third light. The Alameda becomes Highway 82 and will curve right at the traffic light. See the "Santa Clara University" sign on the low wall. Turn LEFT at the light to stay on The Alameda. There is a 4 hour parking limit on The Alameda or use the street's island with 2-hour limit. Contact person: Suzi Glass 408-592-3935 |
